with back to back hits Nikhil is in good form, he again joined hands with Sudheer varma who directed “Swamy Ra Ra” one of the biggest hits in Nikhil’s career. Keshava got immense hype and mouth publicity right from the launch of Teaser and Trailer because of its story line and its creative posters. The makers have gone all out and also promoted the film on a huge scale. The gritty revenge drama has finally hit the screens today and lets see how it is.

Story :-

A law student from Kakinada called Keshava Sharma (Nikhil) who commits serial murders is on a hunt to kill all those who killed his mother and father. To solve this case police department appoints a special officer called Sharmila (Isha Koppikar). Rest of the story is how did Keshava kill the remaining people, and how sharmila investigates the case.

Review :-

The success of any film depends on the strength of the story line, and how director presents the story on screen. Revenge drama is not new to the Telugu audience, but director Sudheer Varma tried to present it in a new way. Nikhil’s performance is one of the biggest assets of Keshava. Right from the first scene, he holds his emotions with ease and showcases how intense he can get in his act. Even though director chooses a routine script, the way he has showcased it in a stylish manner is what clicks. Director started the first half of the film with a murder scene and runs the first half with good comedy scenes and some murder scenes. Meanwhile, director starts revealing the story with small hints in the first half.

In the second half of the film, hero completes his goal by killing all the people who killed his father and mother but the minus point is the emotion didn’t carry well, The heart disorder which is showcased through Nikhil’s character has not been dealt well. The director had a good chance of elevating the proceedings trough this problem but he missed out on the chance. Vennel Kishore and Priyadarshi did a good job with their comedy timing. Ritu Varma did justice to her character.

On the whole, if you watch the movie with expectations that created by the teaser and trailer you will definitely get disappointed, but there some chances to Keshava to become another hit picture in Nikhil’s career because of the way director handled the story.

Plus Points:

  • Storyline
  • Nikhil’s performance
  • cinematography
  • comedy

Minus Points:

  • Routine story
  • Lack of emotional connectivity rating for Keshava: 3/5
