Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal and Amala Paul starrer ‘Black Money’, the dubbed version of Malayalam movie Run Raja Run, directed by Joshiy has hit the theaters today. It’s Malayalam version was huge hit at the Kerala box office. Let’s see the impact of movie on Telugu audiences.

Venu (Mohanlal) is a cameraman of International repute having served with such names as Reuters and BBC. Having been away from homeland for a while, he came to his home town on an assignment where he gets to meet his ex-fiancée Renuka (Amala Paul), who is senior editor of a Channel and whom he hates the most. They are not on talking terms due to some unexpected events which made them to part their ways but now they have to work together for a common purpose. As they are into sting activity to expose a real time assassination of a politician, they are unknowingly land up into heap of troubles which rip off their credibility as journalists and how they manage to clear all the confusion forms the rest of the story.

Mohanlal looks energetic into his portrayal of the media person. He justifies with his role Venu, a feted cameraman, who is rented by big channels for a whopping remuneration. Amala Paul makes a great impression as a bold channel reporter. She manages to make a mark of her own and delivers her best. The rest of the cast including Biju Menon, Siddique, Sai Kumar, and Vijayaraghavan perform accordingly.

The story-line of the movie is impressive. The background music is top notch. Production value is good. The movie with the media industry as its backdrop, tell the unending race between the TV channels for gaining better rating points and creating their exclusive scoops. The pace slackens a little in the second half of the movie, but Joshiey manages pull off the plot to the climax without any complexity. Cinematography by D Rajashekar is pleasing to the eyes and music by Ratheesh Vega is good.

Black Money is one of the new story and only few peoples like this movie.
