December 12th is the most special day in Indian cinema. It’s Superstar Rajnikanth’s(66) birthday. Millions of fans, critics’ favorite, unique style and numerous awards are all synonyms to Thalaiva. Born as Sivaji Rao Gaekwad to mother Jiji bai and father Romaji Rao gaikwad, he did numerous odds and landed up in theater.
He played various dramas and that’s when K Balachander has spotted him. As then rest is history. Rajni began his journey with national award winning Apporva Raagangal. From there on every Rajini film release is like a festival to his fans. Thalaiva is currently focusing on the upcoming entertainer Robo 2.
Thalaiva asked his fans not to celebrate his birthday this year as a mark of respect to the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. “Rajinikanth requests his fans not to celebrate his birthday,” his manager Riaz Ahmed tweeted on Friday. He has asked them not put posters and banners. So this year, it’s going to be low key for the superstar. But you know what, we don’t need one specific day to bring in Thalaivaa’s birthday.
